Group dog training

All of our dog training classes in the Seattle area are held in the Field House at Doggy Haven Resort in Bothell and led by our team of professional dog trainers: Kim, Allie and Mikkel. Chances are excellent that we have the right class for you and your dog.


A1: ADOLESCENT – 4 weeks $120  

For puppies 5 months up to 18 months old who have not attended P1: Puppy S.T.A.R.
Class meets once weekly for 4 weeks.

This class is for young dogs who have not completed Puppy S.T.A.R.  In this course, owners and pups will practice foundation skills.  Owners will learn about how to manage common adolescent behaviors and canine developmental stages.  This class is designed to set energetic pups up for success!

  • Hand signal and verbal cue for sit, down and stand
  • Leave it
  • Sit and wait for greeting humans
  • Loose leash walking

D1: ESSENTIAL MANNERS – 4 weeks $120  

For dogs 18 months and older.
Class meets once weekly for 4 weeks.

This adult dog class covers basic manners.  It’s never too late to learn!  Enroll today to start giving your dog the tools to be a successful canine family member.

D2: ADVANCED MANNERS – 4 weeks $120  
For dogs 7 months and older who have completed P2: Polished Puppy, A1: Adolescent, or D1: Essential Manners.
Class meets once weekly for 4 weeks.

This course builds on existing foundation behaviors and introduces more difficult training skills.

D3: CGC PREP – 4 weeks $120  

Prerequisite: D2: Advanced Manners or Instructor Permission.
Review and practice CGC criteria.

The Canine Good Citizen test is administered by the American Kennel Club.  This 10 step test certifies that your pup has basic, good manners.  The CGC is now a title as well!  Owners can present a CGC Certification to landlords, employers and programs which allow dogs to offer comfort to others.  This class will prepare you and your pup to take the test.

CGC TEST – $20
Open to graduates of CGC PREP and to non-students.
AKC’s Canine Good Citizen test will be administered by a certified evaluator and certification will be awarded to students who pass all 10 test items.  The test takes approximately 15 minutes per dog and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.


CGC PRACTICE TEST – $10
A great way to practice before test day. The practice test takes approximately 15 minutes per dog and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Come join the fun! Registration for each session is open until classes are full.
• All dogs and puppies must be current on vaccines. Proof of vaccinations will be requested at the 1st class session.
• Dogs who are aggressive toward people or other dogs are not appropriate for group classes. Please contact the instructor prior to enrolling if you have concerns about your dog’s behavior.
• Please plan to attend all classes. Makeup classes are not available. See Class Withdrawal & Refund Policy for more information.
• Children ages 6 years and over are welcome to attend class with their parents.
